B.A. In Architecture – Second Year
During our second year in the Bachelor of Arts in Architecture program, we encountered a compelling design challenge: to create a small compound project within a densely populated area, navigating through stringent regulations.
This endeavor presented a myriad of constraints, which, instead of hindering the design process, became the catalyst for innovation.
In addressing these challenges, my approach seamlessly integrated green spaces amid the compound buildings.
The infusion of greenery was not merely an aesthetic choice but a strategic endeavor to enhance the environment and bring a sense of nature into the urban fabric.
Moreover, I selected materials that not only adhered to the stringent regulations but also served as a reflective embodiment to the concept; Beirut itself—a city in a perpetual state of construction, transformation and ever-evolving spirit, mirroring resilience and adaptability.
